Between Light and Nowhere follows two days in the life of Shade, a non-binary young person who lives on the outskirts of Lisbon. In the summer it feels like everything is melting. The body melts in sweat, the afternoon plans, the endless days… Shade hasn’t been sleeping well, weird dreams invade their nights. Between work, home and friends, she seems to be floating. They are in suspension, in an intermediate state in which the reality of the world around them does not sustain itself. Between Light and Nowhere comes from the desire to embrace the transcendental potential of the everyday. It follows a group of young queer people in their search for a safe space. Loneliness, ecstasy and the cosmos are interwoven, carrying us beyond the mundane surface of reality.

Emília é uma velha governanta numa casa senhorial no Norte de Portugal. Ana ajuda-a, num ritual diário de cuidar do espaço para os donos que raramente aparecem.
