Biografia – Realizador

Nascido em 1989, é um diretor e roteirista polonês. Ele possui mestrado em Roteiro pelo Departamento de Direção da Escola Nacional de Cinema Polonesa em Łódź e se formou em Direção pela Escola de Cinema de Gdynia. Co-escreveu o longa-metragem “Novo Mundo” (2015), que concorreu na Competição Principal do 40º Festival de Cinema de Gdynia. O filme conquistou o 2º lugar na Competição Polonesa de Longas-Metragens no Netia Off Camera 2016, recebeu um Prêmio Especial no Festival de Cinema Árabe e Europeu de Luxor e participou da Competição de Estreia no 40º Festival de Cinema de Montreal. Ele recebeu vários prêmios por seus roteiros, incluindo o 2º Script Pro Award (2011), posições finalistas no “Much More Than a Script Competition” no ÉCU Film Festival (2012, Paris) e no Tender Metropolis Script Contest (2016), e o 2º Prêmio no Zbigniew Herbert Memory Competition (2013). Em 2024, ele terminou seu primeiro curta como diretor: “Kiddo”, que contou com a participação do renomado ator polonês Michał Żurawski (“In Darkness” 2011 dir. Agnieszka Holland – Indicado ao Oscar de Melhor Filme Estrangeiro), com a aclamada diretora de fotografia Weronika Bilska (“The Whistle” dir. Grzegorz Zariczny – Grande Prêmio do Júri em Sundance) atrás das câmeras.

Biography – Director (English)

Born in 1989, he is a Polish director and screenwriter. He holds a Master of Screenwriting from the Directing Department of the Polish National Film School in Łódź and is a graduate of Directing at the Gdynia Film School. He co-wrote the feature film “New World” (2015), which competed in the Main Competition of the 40th Gdynia Film Festival. The film won 2nd place in the Polish Feature Film Competition at Netia Off Camera 2016, received a Special Award at the Arab and European Film Festival in Luxor, and participated in the Debuts Competition at the 40th Montreal Film Festival. He is the recipient of numerous awards for his screenplays, including the 2nd Script Pro Award (2011), finalist positions in the “Much More Than a Script Competition” at the ÉCU Film Festival (2012, Paris) and the Tender Metropolis Script Contest (2016), and the 2nd Prize in the Zbigniew Herbert Memory Competition (2013). In 2024, he finished his first short movie as a director: “Kiddo” which featured renowned Polish actor Michał Żurawski (“In Darkness” 2011 dir. Agnieszka Holland – Nominee Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film), with acclaimed cinematographer Weronika Bilska (“The Whistle” dir. Grzegorz Zariczny – Grand Jury Prize at Sundance) behind the camera.
