Biografia – Realizador

Nascida em 1991, Marta estudou realização na Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema de Lisboa (ESTC) e concluiu a licenciatura na FAMU, em Praga. Ela estudou animação por um ano no Atelier de Sèvres, em Paris, e concluiu o mestrado em Animação no Royal College of Art, em Londres. “Come to Me”, seu filme de primeiro ano, foi selecionado para festivais ao redor do mundo, e seu filme de formatura “The Village Game”, foi selecionado para uma indicação ao BAFTA na categoria de filme estudantil. Marta trabalhou em Londres para instituições como BBC, Google e CNN como artista conceitual e animadora. Vive em Portugal desde 2018, trabalhando atualmente como realizadora e animadora nos BAP – Estúdios de Animação. “Dog Alone”, a sua mais recente curta-metragem, foi produzida pela BAP (Portugal) e co-produzida pela Ikki Films (França) e Olivier Catherin.

Born in 1991, Marta studied directing at the Lisbon Theatre and Film School (ESTC), and finished her degree at FAMU in Prague. Shee studied animation for a year at Atelier de Sèvres, in Paris, and completed her master’s degree in Animation at the Royal College of Art in London. “Come to Me”, her first year film, was selected for festivals around the world, and her graduation film “The Village Game”, was shortlisted for a BAFTA nomination in the student film category. Marta worked in London for institutions such as the BBC, Google and CNN as a concept artist and animator. She lives in Portugal since 2018, currently working as a director and animator at BAP – Animation Studios. “Dog Alone”, her most recent short film, was produced by BAP (Portugal) and co-produced by Ikki Films (France) and Olivier Catherin.

Quando voltei para a aldeia onde cresci, fui tomar café na varanda do meu avô. Em meio ao tilintar das xícaras, ouvi o uivo triste de um cachorro. Olhei para meu avô, que estava envolto em sombras, e ele disse: “Ou é saudade ou é fome. Mas acho que é saudade.” Consumido pela solidão, o cachorro afetou todos ao seu redor.
