Sinopse

Num passado distante, Léon e Elvira Berthelini, artistas ambulantes, ganham a vida saltitando de vila em vila. Em Covarronca, acossados pelo Comissário da Polícia, são obrigados a passar a noite ao relento. É nessa situação que conhecem Stubbs, um jovem estudante de Cambridge, com quem encontram refúgio na casa de um pintor em desavença com a mulher. Em troca da hospitalidade, lembram-lhes que o amor à arte resolve a arte do amor. Paralelamente, uma maldição insólita obriga-os a viagens absurdas até ao século XXI, onde o futuro da segurança social e de uma banda rock estão em jogo.

Synopsis (English)

In a distant past, Léon and Elvira Berthelini, itinerant artists, make their living hopping from town to town. In Covarronca, harassed by the Police Commissioner, they are forced to spend the night out in the open. That’s when they meet Stubbs, a young Cambridge student, with whom they find shelter in the home of a painter at odds with his wife. In return for the hospitality, they remind their hosts that the love of art resolves the art of love. Meanwhile, an unusual curse sends them on absurd journeys into the 21st century, where the future of social security and of a rock band are at stake.
