Um documentário sobre os movimentos sociais que defendem o direito a habitar na cidade de Lisboa, num momento de intensificação das lutas pelo espaço urbano provocada pela expansão do capitalismo financeiro, que concentra riqueza em mãos de uns poucos, e aumenta a desigualdade social. Um documentário sobre aquelxs que desafiam a conversão da cidade numa mercadoria, sobre xs que desobedecem à injustiça construindo poder do lado de quem procura um lugar para viver.

Sinopse Internacional Sinopsis

A documentary movie about the social movement advocating the right to live in the city of Lisbon, at a time when the various fights for the urban space have increased – the result of the expansion of finance capitalism that concentrates wealth in the hands of a few people, and increases social inequalities. A documentary about those who challenge the transformation of the city into a merchandise, those who disobey in front of injustice by building power structures for and with the ones who need a place to live.

Retrato de Left Hand Rotation Collective Left Hand Rotation is an artistic collective active since 2005 that develops projects that articulate intervention, appropriationism, recording and video manipulation. Each actions of the collective have a strong awareness of the importance of the audiovisual record, both for its value as raw capture, and for the potential of each video clip to become language units whose combination and manipulation enables the transmission of complex messages based on daily details. The camera can not but record the specific context in which it is placed. It is through these captures of the local that the collective reflects on a complex global system.
