Two brothers, one with dyslexia, the other having a hard time accepting his brother as he is, discover the meaning of brotherhood as they move to a dead-end street after their father’s death.

Mensagem do Realizador Director Statement
I chose to tell this story because I wanted to delve into my past and better understand my relationship with my younger brother Kevin, who is dyslexic. This story became a reality after long conversations between him and I, and the process served as a personal meditation about my attitudes as an older brother and human being both in the past and the present. Kevin helped me in the writing process by recounting his childhood experiences as a dyslexic kid in a very square and formal world and our own fraternal dynamics from his point of view. From these accounts and memories, we built the characters of Pedro, Lucas and Helena, and the plot through which they travel.

Biografia do Realizador Director Biography
Born in São Paulo, Brazil, and partially raised in Philadelphia, USA, Patrick is a young filmmaker currently enrolled at FAAP Film School. He works at Spray Films in São Paulo, and acted as 2nd Unit Director on the upcoming film Abe (Selected to the 2019 Sundance Film Festival), starring Noah Schnapp and Seu Jorge, and directed 3 episodes for the Breaking the Taboo documentary TV series (based off the media channel Breaking the Taboo, which has 12 million followers on facebook and has the highest engagement rates in Brazil) for the GNT channel, one of the biggest television networks in Brazil. Patrick has directed 3 other short films which have been selected to various film festivals around the world, as well as directed a music video for Caetano Veloso, one of Brazil’s most respected musicians.
