Retrato de Paulo Filipe Monteiro As a Director: He wrote and directed Amor Cego/Three to Tango, 2010, 25’. Prize of the Jury at Festival Córtex, November 2010. He wrote and directed Zeus, 2017, 117’. Sinde Filipe won the Best Actor Prize at the 4th Indian Film Festival in 2016 in Mumbai 4 Prizes in the Official Selection of the XXII Caminhos Film Festival  Best Actor: Sinde Filipe.  Best Supporting Actor: Miguel Cunha  Best Wardrobe: Silvia Grabovski  Best characterization: Sara Menitra 3 Cineuphoria Awards in 2017:  Director of Photography, João Ribeiro  Best Supporting Actor, Miguel Cunha, who was still included in the “Someone to Watch” category.  2017 Top of the Year Nico Award (prize for the promising new actor or actress of Portuguese cinema) from the Portuguese Academy of Cinema went to the actor Miguel Cunha. At the 14th Festival Cinéma et Migrations Agadir Zeus won:  Grand-Prix and Best Male Performance: Sinde Filipe Áquila Prize for Best Director 2018 (Paulo Filipe Monteiro) Special Mention at Festival du Film Méditerraneen d’Alexandrie, Oct. 2018 As a screenwriter, he wrote seven other feature films: – O Fim do Mundo, directed by João Mário Grilo, selected to Cannes Festival (1993, “Un certain regard”); – Os Olhos da Ásia, directed by João Mário Grilo, selected in 1996 to Locarno; – Longe da Vista, directed by João Mário Grilo, selected in 1998 to Venice; – As Contas do Morto, directed by Rita Nunes, 2002; – 451 Forte, directed by João Mário Grilo, 2002; – A Hora da Morte, directed by José Nascimento, 2002 – Os Sorrisos do Destino, directed by Fernando Lopes, selected in 2009 to the 33ª Mostra Internacional de Cinema de São Paulo. He wrote the ten episodes TV séries A Viúva do Enforcado, adapted from XIX century novelist Camilo Castelo Branco, directed by Walter Avancini (SIC, 1993). He directed 16 theatre plays. Full professor of cinema and of performing arts at Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Has published extensively on cinema, performing arts and fiction.
