Adolescence is a moment in limbo, somewhere between childhood and adulthood, always on the threshold of something: the end of classes, the end of summer, the beginning of the rest of your life. While we wait, we kill time, we meet someone, we throw a party.

Mensagem do Realizador Director Statement
A film born out of the fears of approaching the end of a journey and about to enter another. Of standing in front of a huge abyss that you know you must overcome. However, making it [the film] as a way of enjoying the vertiginous and enchanted way of being on that edge. Taking advantage of the adrenaline that comes with it. Knowing that the rug is being swept from under our feet; being pushed to do something when the only thing you want to do is to let out the loudest scream, but that no one listens to! Break everything, make the biggest trashing, blow up everything that moves us and ours. To want the animalistic and visceral contained, about to explode. The shot and time about to rupture through the seams. Moreover, this energy is to be contained, worked on, and well distributed. Clearly, the pretext of making it was to come closer and enter other worlds, realities and meet people in a justified manner. Drink from our youth, our spontaneity and authenticity and the desire to make things.

Biografia do Realizador Director Biography

Luís Tovar de Lemos (1998) was born in Lisbon, Portugal. Studied Photography and Cinema after completing highschool. “Siesta Club” (2021) is his graduation film from the degree in Cinema, Video and Multimedia Communication at Lusófona University.
