Um grupo de mulheres encenam juntas um espetáculo de teatro sem uma das atrizes que parece ter abandonado o projeto. Durante um dos ensaios cruciais, à medida que os movimentos se vão definindo e os corpos pairam pelo palco, apercebem-se que uma outra atriz já lá não está. A coreografia tem de ser finalizada, mas lentamente algo vai arrebatando as pessoas daquela sala para um desaparecimento inevitável. Um exercício sobre a fugacidade do ser e a urgência de seguir em frente através da nossa arte.

Sinopse Internacional Sinopsis

 A group of women stage a theatre show without one of the actresses who seems to have abandoned
the project. During one of the rehearsals, as the movements are refined and the bodies float on
stage, they realize that another actress is no longer there. The choreography has to be finished, but
slowly something is snatching the people from that room towards an inevitable disappearance. An
exercise on the fugacity of being and the urgency of moving forward through our art.

“Quarto Minguante” wants to look forward to the sublimation of the person and to the way this certainty, “visible” in the surrealism of every day, is entrenched in some of us. The way out of that perception might be whatever we are doing now, on this and the other side of the 4th wall. To create, express, understand how our body moves and how it can tell a lot to whoever stays and to whoever comes next. The world runs through cycles, things are born, rise and bow, until they sublimate. In this film we hug this concept, of the cycles, which are circles, and this shape is also sprinkled from time to time. Sometimes we want to confront this circle, or the bottom of a vase, dark, with dry leaves, so we can realize the importance of the Now, so we can feel our sweat on a stage and realize how free we can be. What is left is to live.
