Madrugada. Por entre o nevoeiro surge a primeira luz da manhã. Difusa, ilumina de azul toda a paisagem. Mas pelo meio da névoa, uma luz mais intensa destaca-se. É um incêndio florestal que à distância se alastra. Da sua casa, no topo do monte, esta mulher olha perturbada para as chamas. Mas não é a proximidade do perigo que a incomoda. Dentro de casa a sua filha dorme, indiferente ao fumo que lhe invade o quarto.

Sinopse Internacional Sinopsis

Dawn. Through the mist, morning’s early light arises. But a stronger one stands out. It’s a wildfire that spreads in the distance. From her home, in the top of the mount, a worried woman faces the flames. But it’s not the proximity of danger that troubles her. Inside her house, her daughter sleeps, indifferent to the smoke that enters her room.

Biografia do Realizador Director Biography

Miguel Mesquita was born on November 15 1999, in Matosinhos. In 2020 he obtained a bachelor degree in Sound and Image, from Universidade Católica Portuguesa – School of Arts. His bachelor’s final project, the film “Our house in flames”, premiered at Curtas Vila do Conde – International Film Festival. At the moment, he’s in the last year of his master degree in Cinema.
