O filme In My Room (2018) de Ulrich Köhler conta a história pós-apocalíptica do último homem do mundo. Esta curta-metragem estreada em Roterdão (IFFR), apropria-se do filme de Köhler para desvendar os bastidores de um vídeo ensaio e expor os problemas da sua produção.

Ulrich Köhler’s film In My Room (2018) tells the post-apocalyptic story of the last man in the world. This short film premiered at Rotterdam (IFFR), appropriates Köhler’s film to unveil the behind-the-scenes of a video essay and expose the problems of its production.

Biografia do Realizador Director BiographyLuís Azevedo started his filmmaking career with a meta-documentary that won the first prize in the 2012 edition of RIOS – Festival Internacional de Cinema Documental e Transmédia. Since 2014 he’s been making video essays, first for MUBI, then Little White Lies, Fandor, The Discarded Image, Barbican, Sight and Sound, among others. Most of his 100+ short films have been featured in media outlets, such as Variety, Esquire, Vice or The Huffington Post. His video essay work has been recognized by Sight and Sound among the best of the year, every year since 2017, especially “Letter from Marker” and “Orson Welles: Who is this man?” In 2019, both the Cinemateca Portuguesa and the Palić Film Festival organized a retrospective of his work, some of which had previously played at Film Fest Ghent and Caminhos do Cinema Português.
