Sinopse Sinopsis
We live in a constantly changing world. The daily day life becomes more and more stressfull, turning human kind into machines, making us loose all our human senses. The issue is that we’re choosing to do so. We’re choosing to do this to ourselfs. Some artists admit that their role in the society can diverse from recording history to future generations, aimimg to be precise and not subjective at all, to the point of being an extension of it’s own personality, in this way totally subjective. In this short, I reject the artist that chose to strip himself from his values and principles in order to be accepted in by his peers in society. Such processis an artistic death, it is the rape of an artist´s natural way of being.
André Rosa de Carvalho is a movie director that leans to explore the subconscious and the dreamy grey zone. Besides directing he has experience working with camera, editing, color grading and sound mixing. In 2018 he goes to Berlin to study Cinema. He takes two short courses, one in experimental fillmmaking. He directs two short films shot in Berlin and one of them being ” A Grande Paródia” (The Great Parody) on which he also performs as the main character.
