José Santiago Portugal
Graduate of Social Communication at Instituto Superior Miguel, he always had a connection to the communication field, in all its numerous formats.
At Rádio Universidade de Coimbra José Santiago took a course in information and programming, which allowed him to do informative programs (the news, overviews and reports), about music and cinema. Subsequently he went into administration, holding the positions of secretary and president, capitalizing on his management and creative marketing abilities. Currently he holds the position of Learning Officer and Director of Programs at Rádio Universidade de Coimbra.
During a short period of time he was a collaborator at the university’s newspaper “A Cabra” in the capacity of film critic.
He passed through “Correio da Manhã”, a daily and national newspaper, in which he wrote articles both for the print and online versions. He worked as a photojournalist and made the first videos for the web platform.
At UCV, University of Coimbra’s online channel of, he worked as a multimedia journalist and produced around one hundred promotional videos for the institution.
