José Maçãs de Carvalho Artista, Docente e Curador
Doutoramento em Arte Contemporânea - Colégio das Artes da Universidade de Coimbra, em 2014; estudou Literatura nos anos 80 na Universidade de Coimbra e Gestão de Artes nos anos 90, em Macau onde trabalhou e viveu. É Professor no Departamento de Arquitetura e no Colégio das Artes da Universidade de Coimbra onde coordena o Mestrado em Estudos Curatoriais. Enquanto artista desenvolve trabalho na área da Fotografia e Videoarte. Desde 2020 é curador do Centro de Arte Contemporânea de Coimbra.
Artist, teacher, and curator. PhD in Contemporary Art-College of Arts of the University of Coimbra, in 2014; studied literature in the 80s at the University of Coimbra and Arts Management in the 90s in Macau where he worked and lived. He is a Professor at the Department of Architecture and at the College of Arts of the University of Coimbra where he coordinates the master’s program in Curatorial Studies. As an artist, he develops work in the field of photography and video art. Since 2020, he has been curator of the Contemporary Art Center of Coimbra.
