Inês de Medeiros

Nasceu em Viena de Austria em 1968. Cresceu em Lisboa onde começa a trabalhar como actriz ainda adolescente. Desde 1995 que partilha a sua vida entre Lisboa e Paris. Em cinema, como actriz, participou em mais de vinte longas metragens com realizadores como João Botelho, Joaquim Pinto, José Fonseca e Costa, Jacques Rivette, Pedro Costa, etc. No teatro onde começou, fez uma dúzia de espectáculos tanto em português como em Francês com encenadores como Ricardo Pais, Olga Roriz, Alain Rais, no Teatro nacional de São Carlos, no Théâtre de l’Odéon, no ACARTE, entre outros. Em 2007 assina a sua primeira encenação teatral no Centro Cultural de Belém com “Correspondência a Três”. Depois de ter trabalhado como assistente de realização de Teresa Villaverde, João César Monteiro e de Joaquim Pinto, desde 1998 que se dedica à realização de filmes de ficção e documentais. “Sr. Jerónimo” a sua primeira curta metragem de ficção é premiado em vários festivais dos quais se distinguem o prémio para melhor filme português no Festival Internacional de Vila Conde e o Prémio Canal+ em Brest. A sua primeira longa metragem documentário “O Fato Completo ou à procura de Alberto” é seleccionada para o Festival Internacional de Veneza, na secção Outros Territórios. O seu último filme, “Cartas a uma Ditadura”, recebeu o Prémio da Distribuição para o melhor documentário português no DocLisboa 2006, o FIPA de Prata no Festival Internacional de Biarritz, o Grande Prémio do Femina, no Rio de Janeiro e Prémio do Público na Mostra de São Paulo 2007. Em 2009 foi eleita deputada da Assembleia da República Portuguesa.

Born in 1968 in Vienna, Austria, Inês de Medeiros grew up in Lisbon where she started working as an actress when she was still a teenager. Since 1995 she shares her life between Lisbon and Paris. In cinema, as an actress, she participated in more than twenty feature films with directors like João Botelho, Joaquim Pinto, José Fonseca e Costa, Jacques Rivette, Pedro Costa, etc. In theater, where she began, Inês de Castro did a dozen shows in Portuguese and in French with stage managers like Ricardo Pais, Olga Roriz, Alain Rais, in Teatro Nacional de São Carlos, in Théâtre de l’Odéon, in ACARTE and more. In 2007 she signs her first play in Centro Cultural de Belém with “Correspondência a Três”. After working as an assistant director for Teresa Villaverde, João César Monteiro and for Joaquim Pinto, since 1998 she dedicates her life in directing fiction movies and documentaries. “Sr. Jerónimo” her first fiction short-film received awards from several festivals, where stands out the award for best Portuguese movie in the International festival of Vila Conde and the award Canal+ in Brest. Inês de Medeiros first feature-film documentary “O Fato Completo ou á procura de Alberto” was selected for the International Festival of Venice, in the category of Other territories. Her last movie, “Cartas a uma ditadura”, received the Distribution Award for best Portuguese Documentary in DocLisboa 2006, the silver FIPA in the International Festival of Biarritz, the Great Award of Femina, in Rio de Janeiro and the Público award in Mostra de São Paulo 2007. In 2009 was elected representative in the Portuguese Republic Assembly.

 

Tânia Ganho

Tânia Ganho nasceu em Coimbra, em 1973, onde estudou e deu aulas de tradução como assistente convidada da Universidade. Depois de ter feito legendagem de filmes durante vários anos (para TV, vídeo e o festival de cinema de Vila do Conde) e de ter passado pela redação da SIC como tradutora de informação, decidiu dedicar-se exclusivamente à literatura. É tradutora de autores como John Banville, Alan Hollinghurst, Christos Tsiolkas, David Lodge, Ali Smith, Annie Proulx e Anaïs Nin, entre muitos outros. Viveu em Londres e em Paris, e reside actualmente em Lisboa. É autora dos romances “A Vida Sem Ti” (Oficina do Livro, 2005), “Cuba Libre” (Oficina do Livro, 2007), “A Lucidez do Amor” (Porto Editora, 2010) e “A Mulher-Casa” (Porto Editora, 2012). Em Julho de 2011, ganhou o 1º Prémio da categoria internacional do Concurso de Contos Cidade de Araçatuba, Brasil, com o texto “Perfeita Simetria”. Tem contos publicados nas revistas “Egoísta” e “Portefólio”.

Tânia Ganho was born in Coimbra, Portugal, in 1973. At the age of 12, she won a national literary competition, “Ler Melhor para Viver Melhor”, and hasn’t stopped writing fiction ever since. It was only in 2005, though, that she decided to publish her first novel, A Vida Sem Ti(Life Without You), followed by Cuba Libre, in 2007, both by Oficina do Livro (Portugal). Her third book, A Lucidez do Amor, came out in 2010, by Porto Editora. She studied Languages and Literature, and taught translation as guest lecturer at the University of Coimbra, Portugal. After having done technical translation and subtitling for TV, she decided to devote herself exclusively to the literary world, and has since translated authors such as John Banville, Alan Hollinghurst, Christos Tsiolkas, David Lodge, Ali Smith, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Jeanette Winterson, Annie Proulx and Anaïs Nin, among many others. She has lived in London and Paris, and is currently based in Lisbon, promoting her new novel, “A Mulher-Casa” (“The Woman-House”), which came out in May by Porto Editora. In July 2011, Tânia Ganho won the 1st Prize (international category) of the Short-Story International Contest Cidade de Araçatuba, in Brazil. Her short-stories feature in “Egoísta” and “Portefólio”, two prestigious Portuguese magazines.

Ana Lopes

Ana Lopes é natural de Coimbra, cresceu em São Miguel, licenciou-se em Direito em Lisboa e formou-se em Representação em Los Angeles, onde viveu dois anos intensos, quer em formação, quer em trabalho, regressando, depois, a Portugal. Como actriz, tem um vasto currículo em Cinema independente e participa, regularmente, em peças de Teatro, telefilmes, anúncios, sketches de comédia e web séries. Tem também experiência como Produtora.

Ana Lopes was born in Coimbra, but she grew up in São Miguel, she had her degree in Law at the University of Lisbon, and she graduated in representation in Los Angeles, where she lived two exhausting years, in terms of formation and work, after that she returned to Portugal. As an actress she have a extensive curriculum in independent cinema, and she make a lot of participations in plays, tv-films, ads, comedy sketches and web series. She has also experience as a producer.

Custódia Gallego

Custódia Gallego, actriz portuguesa, nascida em Beja em 1959. Ingressou no curso de Medicina, na Universidade Nova Lisboa, acabando por abandonar o curso. Em 1984 terminou os seus estudos na Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema de Lisboa. Desde então a sua participação em teatro tem ocupado a maior parte da sua carreira, tendo participado também, por algumas vezes, em cinema, estando presente em filmes de realizadores como Joaquim Leitão, Fonseca e Costa, Margarida Cardoso e António Ferreira. É também presença assídua em várias telenovelas e séries televisivas, como “Laços de Sangue”, “Perfeito Coração”, “Podia Acabar o Mundo”, ”Vingança”. Actualmente participa na telenovela da SIC “Dancin Days”.

Custódia Gallego, portuguese Actress born in 1959, Beja. She started a degree in Medicine, in the University of Nova Lisboa, but she dropped off from it. In 1984 she finished her studies in the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema (Superior school of Theater and Cinema) in Lisbon. Since then, apperances in the theater scene has occupied most her carrer. She also had a few jobs for cinema, taking roles in some of the portuguese producers such as Joaquim Leitão, Fonseca e Costa, Margarida Cardoso e António Ferreira. She’s also a constant presence in soap operas and TV- shows such as “Laços de Sangue”, “Perfeito Coração”, “Podia Acabar o Mundo”, ”Vingança”. Nowdays she’s part of a SIC’s soap opera called “Dancin’ Days”.

Isabel Medina

Licenciada em Filologia Germânica pela Universidade de Lisboa, com mestrado em Análise Comportamental, e licenciada em Teatro pela Escola Superior de Cinema e Teatro, profissionalizou-se em 1983, tendo desde aí participado em inúmeras peças no Teatro Nacional, Teatro do Século (de que foi cofundadora), Teatro da Comuna, Teatro Persona, Cassefaz e Escola de Mulheres, Oficina de Teatro de que é cofundadora e Diretora Literária. Para além de actriz de Teatro, Televisão e Cinema, exerce as actividades de argumentista, dramaturga e encenadora. O último espetáculo em que participou como atriz foi “Agosto em Osage” de Tracy Letts, encenação Fernanda Lapa no Teatro Nacional D. Maria II. Trabalha em televisão desde 1989, tendo participado em muitas novelas, séries e telefilmes. Neste momento faz parte do elenco fixo da novela “Louco Amor” da TVI. No cinema, trabalhou com António Pedro Vasconcelos, Jorge Silva Melo, Mark Heller, entre outros. Durante a sua carreira como atriz de Teatro, foi distinguida com o Troféu Nova Gente – Atriz Revelação – e o Prémio da Associação Portuguesa de Críticos para Melhor Atriz. Em televisão foi distinguida pelo trabalho na peça “O Pai” de Strindberg pela revista “Blitz”.

With a Degree in Germanic Philology at the University of Lisbon, a Masters in Behavioural Analysis, and a Degree in Theatre at the Higher School of Cinema and Theatre, she became a professional in 1983, having since then been a part of countless plays in Nacional Theatre, Teatro do Século (of which she co-founder), Teatro da Comuna, Teatro Persona, Cassefaz and Escola de Mulheres, Oficina de Teatro of which she is also a co-founder and Literary Director. Not only a Theatre, Television and Cinema actress, she is also a screenwriter, a playwright and a stage director. The last show she was a part of as an actress was Tracy Letts’ “August: Osage County”, with stage director Fernanda Lapa, staged in the National Theatre D. Maria II. She has worked in television since 1989, having been a part of many soap operas, television series and television movies. Currently she is a part of the permanent cast of the soap opera “Louco Amor” of the TVI television channel. In cinema, she has worked with António Pedro Vasconcelos, Jorge Silva Melo, Mark Heller, amongst other. During her career as a Theatre actress, she was awarded with the Nova Gente trophy for Breakthrough Actress and the Portuguese Critics Association Award for Best Actress.

Fernando Galrito

Fernando Galrito tem formação em Cinema, Animação e Teatro. Licenciado em Antropologia, MA em Cultura e Tecnologias da Informação. Conclui Doutoramento em Expressão Espácio-Temporal da Imagem em Movimento | Performance e Animação.Como investigador explora a relação e interacção entre o corpo a performance e a imagem em movimento mediada por sistemas digitais e analógicos bem como metodologias de ensino do cinema de animação.Coordenou entre 1987 e 2005 o CITEN | Centro de Experimentação em Imagem e Movimento na Fundação Gulbenkian. Lecciona Animação, Animação de Personagens, Projecto de Imagem e Projecto Interdisciplinar Artístico na Escola Superior de Artes e Design das Caldas da Rainha | ESAD.CR, onde tem desenvolvido metodologia pedagógica e de experimentação entre a Imagem em Movimento, as Artes Plásticas e as Artes Performativas É também professor convidado em várias Universidades Internacionais. Participa e é autor de projectos de criação e investigação transdisciplinares. Realizador de peças transversais à imagem em movimento, à performance, ao teatro e à dança e Realizador de filmes premiados nacional e internacionalmente. É o Director Artístico do Festival de Animação de Lisboa | MONSTRA e coordenador do FIRST | Encontros Internacionais da Artes da Animação na ESAD.CR. Realiza programas, conferencias, workshops e comunicações em vários países da Europa no Brasil e Japão, sendo autor de artigos para catálogos e publicações nacionais e internacionais. Júri em múltiplos festivais nacionais e internacionais, colaborador e membro activo de várias associações e organismos nacionais e internacionais.

Fernando Galrito has a degree in Cinema, Animation and Theater. BsC in Anthropology and MSc in Culture and Technologies. Is a PhD candidate in Expression of the Space and Time in the moving Images | Animation and Performance. His research focus in the relation and interaction between body, performance and moving image mediate by digital and analogical systems. Teaches Animation, Moving Image and Interdisciplinary Artistic Project in the Superior School for Arts and Design in Caldas da Rainha to which developed pedagogical methodologies in the relation between moving image, performance and plastic arts. Coordinates the Moving Image Center of the Gulbenkian Foundation and is author and collaborator in many creative and research projects of trans-disciplinary art. Directs artistic projects crossing several disciplines, from moving image to performance, theater, and dance. Is an awarded animation director recognized in many international festivals. Since 2000 is the Artistic director of the Lisbon Animated Film Festival | MONSTRA and direct the FIRST | International Meeting of Animation Arts in ESAD.CR. Is also a frequent lecturer in conferences, workshops, master classes and presenting communications in Europe, Brazil and Japan. Author of papers for catalogues in national and international publications. Is an active member of national and international associations.

João Silva

Jorri é um membro da banda de Coimbra a Jigsaw, criada enquanto estudante da Universidade de Coimbra em 1998. Com 3 álbuns conceptuais editados que recolheram os mais rasgados elogios da imprensa nacional e internacional, tornou-se um estudioso de inúmeros instrumentos com os quais constrói as canções. Em 2006 fundou a Editora Rewind Music com a qual editou diversos trabalhos de bandas nacionais e internacionais e continua a desenvolver um trabalho profícuo na área do agenciamento, management e booking. Em 2011 assumiu também o papel de produtor no mais recente álbum dos a Jigsaw “Drunken Sailors & Happy Pirates” com o qual está actualmente em tournée tanto em Portugal como além-fronteiras.

Musician, born in April 20th, 1979 He started a degree in the Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade de Coimbra. It’s in 1999 that a project called “A Jigsaw” is born, from which he is one of the remaining founding members. This band called “A Jigsaw” is characterized for being a multi-instrumental, and multi-gender group, encompassing syles like Blues/Folk/Indie.

Ricardo Guedes

Ricardo Filipe Guedes Sousa Nascido a 1 de Maio de 1979. Começou uma carreira de manequim aos 17 anos na companhia do seu irmão gémeo Pedro Guedes. Fotografou e desfilou para varias marcas e revistas internacionais de onde se destacam a Armani , Etro , Vercace ,Tommy Hillfiguer , Givenchy , Lanvin , Valentino , D Square , Iceberg jeans , Abercrombie & Fitch , L’Ummo Vogue , GQ , Madame Figaro , Wallpaper , Condé Nast. Participou também em alguns filmes publicitários para marcas nacionais e internacionais.

I started my carreer as mannequin at the age of 17 in my twin bother Pedro Guedes’ company In my profession I had the priviledge to travel and to know different people as well as differrent cultures from all over the world. I’ve photographed and paraded for various brands and magazines such as Armani, Etro, Vercace, Tommy Hillfiguer, Givenchy, Lanvin, Valentino, D Square, Iceberg jeans, Abercrombie & Fitch, L’Ummo Vogue, GQ, Madame Figaro, Wallpaper, Condé Nast. I’ve also participated in some commercials for both national and international brands.

Tito Couto

Nasceu em 1974. Frequentou a Escola Superior de Jornalismo e é jornalista. Escreveu para o Jornal de Notícias, Público e Press Association. Criou e dinamizou vários festivais literários, como Entre Pedras, Palavras e História Descrita. Criou e presidiu ao júri do Prémio de Poesia Daniel Faria entre 2004 e 2009. É colaborador do Porto Canal, onde se dedica à divulgação literária. Dinamiza ainda um talk-show ao vivo, intitulado Conta-me Histórias, de divulgação da música portuguesa. Mafalda Veiga, Sérgio Godinho e Pedro Abrunhosa são alguns dos seus convidados regulares. É membro do Laboratório de Arte Pública de Paredes, bem como comissário de um conjunto de projetos artísticos associados ao Paredes Polo de Design de Mobiliário. Ingressou na Booktailors em 2012. É consultor editorial na Booktailors, estando integrado no departamento de comunicação e eventos da empresa.

Tito Couto is an editorial consultant, he was born in 1974. He attended the college of Journalism, and he is a journalist. He wrote for the “Jornal de Noticias”, “Público” and “Press Association”. He created and streamlined several literary festivals, like “Entre Pedras” and “Palavras e História Descrita”. Created and chaired the jury of the poetry prize “Daniel Faria” between 2004 and 2009. He’s a collaborator of “Porto Canal”, where he is responsible for the literary disclosure. He also streamlines a talk-show of Portuguese music revelation, called “Conta-me Histórias”. He is a member of the Public Art Lab in Paredes, as well as a commissary of a group of artistic projects associated with “Paredes Polo de Design de Mobiliário”. He joined the Booktailors in 2012, where he is an editorial consultant, working on the department of communication and events of the firm.
